“Where Is Your Husband?”

A Comedy Storytelling Hour By Anshita Koul

Zeit und Ort

20. Sept. 2025, 20:00 – 22:00

Kulturzentrum GOROD , Arnulfstraße 197, 80634 München, Deutschland

Über die Veranstaltung

Comedian Anshita Koul gets a lot of annoying messages on Instagram on a daily basis like"Hello Ma'am, Big Fan! What do you do ?" "Ma'am, what is your height?" "How are you, Ma'am?"

And she has wilfully turned these unpleasant pleasantries into comedy routines as one does. But in her new hour long comedy storytelling special, Anshita will finally answer the most frequently asked question she gets on all social media platforms "Where Is Your Husband?” by telling a short story long. Some people believe that she had a husband but lost him, some think he cheated on her and some think she never had one. Only Anshita knows the truth. And her therapist thinks it's time. Since Anshita is childfree by choice, she would like to pass on this trauma to her audiences with love.

Anshita will be joined by some local guest opening acts in every city of the tour.

About Anshita Koul -

Anshita Koul (she/they) is a Berlin based, internationally touring and an independent polyglot comedian from India. Anshita’s debut comedy solo in English – Little Too Much received great Audience Reviews internationally. When not touring, Anshita is the host and producer of multiple comedy shows in Berlin and also is the creator of Berlin’s only QTIBIPOC Lineup comedy night. They have created a name for themselves in the English comedy scene in Europe with their political satires, funny punch up routines and an unfunny itch to decolonise standup comedy.

Anshita started her standup career on Indian reality TV show TLC presents Queens of Comedy 2017. She was also the only comedian from Europe to make it to Funny Women Awards 2022 Finals in the UK and was most recently seen opening for Emmy Award winner comedian Vir Das on his European comedy tour Mindfool in October 2024. Anshita also headlined India's first ever Queer Comedy tour organized by Queer Rated Comedy.
